The Enterprise Wireless Alliance (EWA) and Utilities Technology Council (UTC) filed applications for review of the FCC’s order granting Higher Ground an earth station (ES) license. In January, the FCC granted Higher Ground’s application, with conditions, for a nationwide license to operate mobile ES transmitters in the fixed service 6 GHz band despite filings from numerous mission-critical communications organizations, including EWA, in opposition.

The FCC granted Sprint a waiver to deploy 800 MHz wideband operations in the portions of the National Public Safety Planning Advisory Committee (NPSPAC) region 3 in Arizona where rebanding has been completed, even though it has not been completed in the entire region. The waiver is subject to the same conditions that apply to the same waiver in other parts of the county.
