Hytera Announces Expected Closing Date for Sepura Acquisition
Tuesday, May 16, 2017 | Comments
Hytera Communications said it expects its acquisition of Sepura to close on 24 May. The acquisition had been held up by reviews by several European governments.

“Following further discussions with the German authorities, the parties have concluded that the notification from the Federal Ministry of Economic Affairs and Energy announced 5 May 2017 will not have implications for the timing of completion of the acquisition,” a joint statement from the companies said.

The statement also noted that the U.K. government announced last week it would not refer its review of the acquisition to a second phase of review by the U.K.’s Competition and Markets Authority.

According to a timeline contained in the statement, a court hearing to sanction the acquisition is scheduled for 22 May.

The acquisition, which is valued around US$92 million, was first announced back in December.
