“With the rapidly developing circumstances and in light of corporate travel considerations continuing to escalate, we’ve worked as quickly as possible to explore our options,” a statement from IWCE Show Director Stephanie McCall and General Manager Paul Caplan said. “Having spent the past year preparing for the event with our advisory boards, speakers, exhibitors and event partners, we’re genuinely disappointed not to be able to host you in three weeks, but the experience and safety of our community and everyone involved in the event continues to be our top priority.”
Prior to the announcement, multiple companies had pulled out of the event, citing employee health concerns in the face of the ongoing outbreak. Motorola Solutions also canceled its channel partner expo, which was scheduled for mid-March.
