Wis. County Buys Tait's Simulcast Network (12/15)

Tait Radio Communications was awarded a contract agreement with Wood County, Wis., for a TaitNet QS2 simulcast network for use in several public-safety departments and agencies in the county, including police, fire, and EMS services. Wood County covers more than 792 square miles in central Wisconsin. Bill Fredrickson, president of Tait Radio Communications North America, said the system is ideal for Wood County because it provides saturation coverage to ensure all staff are instantly available on the same channel and can stay connected in the most challenging working environments. The QS2 system also overcomes the biggest drawback of traditional simulcast systems -- costly regular maintenance.
