The National Public Safety Telecommunications Council (NPSTC) is requesting alternate recommendations on the common interoperability radio channel-naming scheme that was developed by the FCC's Public Safety National Coordinating Committee (NCC). NPSTC is providing the public-safety community the opportunity to submit alternate recommendations to update the NCC recommended channel naming scheme, and will host a public forum on standard radio channel naming (common nomenclature) standard for public-safety voice interoperability channels in Orlando, Fla., Feb. 5.
