Alabama Renews SouthernLINC PTT iDEN Service Contract (6/3/14)
Tuesday, June 03, 2014 | Comments

SouthernLINC Wireless announced the renewal of the statewide contract for portable 800 MHz communications devices with push-to-talk (PTT) two-way radio service with the Alabama Department of Finance’s Division of Purchasing. SouthernLINC Wireless has held this contract since 1997.

“SouthernLINC Wireless has consistently proven its value to the state of Alabama by giving state agencies a communications tool that is efficient and reliable,” said Don Horsley, president and CEO, SouthernLINC Wireless.

SouthernLINC Wireless is the exclusive multistate provider of iDEN PTT and cellular services in the Southeast. Alabama government users can connect with local municipalities, schools and utilities that use SouthernLINC Wireless PTT service as well. This is an advantage in emergencies when critical communications to facilitate recovery efforts need to cross over organizational boundaries.
