M4D Offers Marketing Service for MOTOTRBO Operators (1/26/15)

Motorola Solutions marketing vendor M4D launched subscription-based True Dispatch, a marketing service for Motorola commercial system operators.

M4D said True Dispatch creates the power of a large-scale marketing presence to promote a Motorola commercial system. The objective is to directly target fleets using cellular and convert them to MOTOTRBO, as well as win additional new business from existing Kenwood NEXEDGE and Icom IDAS users, said Marc Eltoft, M4D owner. “True Dispatch is committed to helping Motorola carriers load individual commercial systems and does not promote Motorola-competitive OEMs,” he said.

With members in 16 states, M4D re-invests Motorola co-op approved dues collected for True Dispatch membership into targeted national association membership, online advertising and website maintenance. The service allows end users to learn about the technology and the products and to find a member that provides Motorola dispatch communications. Advertising within True Dispatch member associations provides exposure to more than 30,000 end-users, Eltoft said.

“End users need to be educated to make the smart communications choice for their fleets, understand the benefits of Motorola dispatch communications and easily locate a provider,” Eltoft said. “Every Motorola commercial system has a different name but offers the same solution to end users — MOTOTRBO. We need to de-fragment the space and educate end users, not confuse them more.”

“We built the largest system in our area and no one came,” said David Gottlieb with Goosetown Communications, a Motorola two-way dealer based in Congers, New York. “Without True Dispatch we would have never loaded the amount of radios we have so far.”
