Spectrum Communications, headquartered in London, Ontario, Canada, opened its first U.S. location in Warren, Michigan, operating as Spectrum Wireless (USA).

The new location is the region’s local authorized dealer for JVCKENWOOD two-way radio sales and service, as well as short- or long-term rental, technical service support, EF Johnson Technologies equipment, telephone answering services and state contract pricing.

Spectrum Wireless (USA) services Huron, Tuscola, Sanilac, Lapeer, St. Clair, Oakland, Macomb, Washtenaw and Wayne counties in Michigan. Spectrum Communications has seen more than 36 years of success in Canada with eight locations throughout Ontario and a staff of 73 people.

“It has only seemed natural to expand into neighboring Michigan,” said Gordon Mayhew, president of the company. “For many years we have talked about opening a U.S. location and the Warren business community provides an excellent location to do so. We have recruited some of the region’s top talent in the two-way radio industry to provide sales and service support. They recognize the Spectrum culture, which is based upon customer service and a love of new technology.”
