CMA to Host Wounded Warrior Fundraiser at Annual Conference

The Communications Marketing Association (CMA) will host a 50/50 raffle fundraiser supporting wounded service members through Wounded Warrior Project (WWP) at the Communications Marketing Conference (CMC) 2015, Nov. 9 – 11 in Tampa, Florida.

Proceeds from the raffle will be donated to the nonprofit organization WWP, which supports a range of programs and services for today’s generation of injured veterans and their families.

More than 52,000 servicemen and women have been injured in recent military conflicts. In addition to the physical wounds, it is estimated as many as 400,000 service members live with the invisible wounds of war including combat-related stress, major depression and post-traumatic stress disorder. The 20 programs and services provided by WWP are uniquely structured to nurture the mind and body, and encourage economic empowerment and engagement.

CMA will sell the raffle tickets during the CMC event for $5 each or five tickets for $20, with the drawing for the 50/50 Wounded Warrior raffle during the annual CMC Awards Banquet Nov. 10.

“The CMA board of directors elected to have a fundraiser for wounded warriors in honor of those who have given so much for our country,” CMA Board President, Rex Reed said.

CMA membership is composed of leading manufacturers, manufacturers’ representatives and distributors in the wireless communications industry. The core value of CMA is found in the annual CMC event. For more information, click here.
