Hytera Mobilfunk Awarded Final Renewal Contract in the Netherlands

Hytera Mobilfunk won a final award for the Netherlands’ nationwide TETRA network. C2000 is the communications system for all emergency services in the Netherlands and will be renewed in the coming years.

Because the current system is one of Europe’s first nationwide TETRA systems, most of its hardware and software has reached the end of its life. The renewal consists of three parts: a voice network between control rooms and emergency workers (T2000), a paging network for the alarm system (P2000) and part three for the radio control for the control room.

Hytera was provisionally awarded the T2000 contract for part one earlier this year. With the signing of the contract, the provisional award has changed into a final award.

“We are more than happy that our hard and convincing work during the tender phase and providing the best offer led us to the award of the contract,” said Matthias Klausing, CEO and president of Hytera Mobilfunk. “We are looking forward to realize the project in trustful partnership with the Ministry of Security and Justice as well as with the winners of part two and part three of the tender.”
