Blenheim Palace Deploys Sepura DMR Tier 2

Sepura channel partner 2826 installed a Sepura Digital Mobile Radio (DMR) solution at Blenheim Palace, the world-famous World Heritage Site in Oxfordshire, United Kingdom, that welcomes thousands of visitors every day.

The DMR Tier 2 system will help operational staff provide the public with a memorable experience in a safe environment. It replaces an aging analog two-way radio system that offered limited site coverage and lacked features and functionality.

Hampshire-based 2826 was awarded the contract for the DMR solution comprising a repeater, providing site-wide and in-building coverage; non-keypad radios with colored fronts for easy talk group recognition; full-keypad/display management radios; and a desktop display radio, connected to a dispatcher application, which manages and records the system’s messaging, call logging, emergency alarms and GPS mapping.

“We are delighted with our new Sepura DMR system and the first-class consultative approach and smooth installation provided by 2826,” said Heather Carter, head of operations for Blenheim Palace.
