Nationwide mobile radio dealer BearCom announced the acquisition of Consolidated Telecom Services (CTS), with offices in Round Rock, Houston, San Antonio, Temple and Waco, Texas.

Terms were not announced. BearCom has headquarters in Dallas.

Since 2007, CTS has served the central Texas corridor with wireless voice and data systems, engineering solutions and consulting services. CTS offerings include two-way radio systems, push-to-talk (PTT) networks, GPS and RF identification (RFID) tracking, UPS, interoperability, site design and construction services.

“We are delighted to welcome the CTS team to the BearCom family,” said Jerry Denham, BearCom president and CEO. “Their proven history of providing outstanding and innovative wireless solutions to both commercial enterprises and public safety aligns well with our core mission. In addition, with the BearCom company headquarters located in Dallas, and our largest branch office in Houston, this strategic acquisition strengthens our commitment and ability to serve customers throughout the state of Texas.”

CTS has a strong emphasis serving state and local government organizations, including public-safety agencies. CTS has expertise in state consultation support services for the First Responder Network Authority (FirstNet) broadband network, a statement said. CTS President Pamela Faver said the acquisition will extend CTS’ reach to provide sales, installation, repairs and services across the state of Texas.
