Sepura, in conjunction with sales partner Chatterbox, was chosen by the Royal Horticultural Society (RHS) to provide a complete digital communications solution for its flagship garden at Wisley, Surrey, United Kingdom.

The solution, comprising base stations, more than 200 portable radios, and a dispatcher application with voice recording and GPS mapping, will boost visitor safety, security and facility management procedures across the 240-acre site.

With more than 1 million visitors in 2015 and further expansion, including a new science center, visitor hub and knowledge bank, already underway, the RHS needed a flexible solution to keep pace with its evolving requirements, providing clear communications along with safety features such as lone worker and man down. In addition, features such as emergency button, priority call and GPS will help to improve response times, instantly alerting first aid and security teams to incidents and their location.

“This solution is a superb fit for RHS Garden Wisley and the daily operational challenges faced by staff members,” said Gary Leatherby, managing director of Chatterbox.
