Salt River Projects Selects 700 MHz Block A Gear

Salt River Project (SRP) selected MiMOMax Wireless as its preferred vendor for its system engineering, design and supply of SRP’s 700 MHz wireless field area network (FAN).

SRP signed a spectrum purchase agreement with Access Spectrum in the upper 700 MHz A block for the state of Arizona and in a specific Phoenix-Mesa economic area in 2015. SRP, an Arizona utility, requested a proof-of-concept pilot to verify absence of interference, spectrum efficiency and equipment capabilities. The pilot was conducted in Arizona on SRP’s urban territory in 2014.

“We are delighted that Salt River Project has chosen to work with MiMOMax Wireless to provide an advanced wireless communications network that will be at the core of its grid modernization strategy,” said MiMOMax Wireless General Manager of North America Paul Reid. In support of Salt River Project, MiMOMax Wireless opened new premises in Phoenix.
