LMR Vendor Contracts Siyata Mobile for PTT over Cellular Devices

Siyata Mobile signed a vendor agreement and received a purchase order from a leading global two-way radio vendor. Siyata will provide the vendor with both rugged devices and commercial vehicle devices with push-to-talk over cellular (PoC) capabilities.

The devices will be sold to the vendor’s enterprise and government customers.

“This is a very large-scale opportunity for Siyata, which demonstrates our innovative approach in the PoC market,” said Marc Seelenfreund, CEO of Siyata Mobile. “Major two-way radio vendors are now aggressively moving into the PoC arena to assure that they participate in this emerging market. We are confident that Siyata will be an important player in this space as we are the only company with a commercial in-vehicle cellular-based technology platform and appropriate devices for the millions of trucks that need this capability.”

The PoC application presents an opportunity for users to access communications features that two-way radio provides such as dispatch, instant chat, and data applications from their cellular-based devices and over nationwide networks.

According to the United States Department of Transportation, in 2015 there were more than 12 million fleet vehicles in the United States.

Siyata aims to be the leading provider of connected vehicle and mobile hardware solutions as these commercial fleets upgrade their communication platforms to be compatible with next-generation networks, PoC solutions and other software applications.

My company Telepoint Communications is also in the two-way radio business and would like to explore the possibility of getting into the PoC market.
