Brazilian Airport Deploys DAMM TETRA Network

DAMM’s communications solution for São Paulo-Guarulhos International Airport in Brazil consists of a fully redundant TETRA carrier system and secures passenger safety and improves efficiency. The network serves airline customers such as LATAM and Qatar Airways.

The system offers a secure and reliable voice and data system, which enables airports to efficiently respond to any potential danger. Users can create dynamic work groups used for apron services such as luggage handling, jet fueling and catering.

The new IP-based, decentralized network was designed, installed and commissioned by local partner ALCON Engenharia.

“We have joined forces with DAMM to deliver the most secure, reliable and flexible solution. In addition, the open API (application programming interface (API) offers easy integration of third-party applications, like the Siemens Dispatcher solution, and was key to the GRU Airport in Brazil,” said Gilberto Koza, CEO of Alcon.
