Rohill Completes TETRA Migration in 3 Polish Cities
Thursday, July 13, 2017 | Comments

Rohill and local Rohill partners Maxto and IP Connect completed the TETRA communications network migration to Rohill TetraNode in Warsaw, Szczecin and Krakow, Poland. The TetraNode system has been fully operational for eight months and was formally accepted by the customer after an extensive period of testing.

The migration in Szczecin and Krakow was performed in June 2016. The capital Warsaw migrated in the beginning of November 2016. The migration of the live systems was completed without impact on network services. All policemen kept using their TETRA radios during the migration, and no reprogramming was required.

The current TETRA networks secure a population of more than 5.5 million inhabitants in Warsaw, Szczecin and Krakow and their respective metropolitan areas. As a framework agreement with Maxto and IP Connect is in place, the Polish police can order additions to the system as required, to ensure the system fulfills the police needs in the future as well.

Rohill announced in 2014 it would build a TETRA network for the police in Poland.
