Harris Base Station First to Receive P25 CAP Certification Under Updated Requirements

The U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) certified Harris’ MASTR V Project 25 (P25) base station compliant under the updated requirements of the P25 Compliance Assessment Program (CAP).

The P25 CAP-certified base station is designed for mission-critical applications and provides secure P25 digital trunked and conventional interoperable communications on a secure and scalable IP network.

“Harris has achieved an important milestone with the successful declaration of compliance — the first in the industry — of our MASTR V P25 trunked and conventional infrastructure from the DHS P25 CAP,” said Nino DiCosmo, president, Harris Public Safety and Professional Communications. “We recognize that our customers value independent P25 compliance verification, and Harris has committed to the P25 CAP with the same level of energy and leadership we apply to our work for open standards.”

DHS announced that the 2017 Baseline Common Air Interface (CAI) Testing Requirements Compliance Assessment Bulletin (CAB) was online earlier this year.
