FCC Imposes Narrowbanding Fine on Global Paratransit
Tuesday, September 12, 2017 | Comments

The FCC imposed a penalty of $13,000 against Global Paratransit for failing to operate its private land mobile radio (PLMR) station, call sign WPPY512, on a narrowband basis in accordance with the commission’s narrowbanding rules, failing to transmit its call sign, and failing to respond to a commission notice of violation.

In March, the FCC issued a notice of apparent liability for forfeiture (NAL) proposing a $13,000 forfeiture against Global Paratransit for willful and repeated violation of the rules.

“Based on the information before us, we affirm the forfeiture proposed in the NAL,” the FCC said.
