JVCKENWOOD Provides Relief to Areas Affected by Hurricanes, Mexico Earthquake
Wednesday, October 04, 2017 | Comments

JVCKENWOOD and its subsidiary EF Johnson Technologies are providing assistance to support relief activities for areas affected by Hurricanes Harvey, Irma and Maria and the strong earthquake that struck Mexico in mid-September.

Harvey, Irma and Maria made landfall between August and September and caused substantial damage across large portions of the southern United States and the Caribbean.

The disaster-affected areas had their transportation and communications infrastructure destroyed by the hurricanes and earthquake. JVCKENWOOD and EFJohnson are donating digital radio systems that enable communications without the need for public infrastructure to assist victims and reconstruction efforts in the areas affected.

Local agents from JVCKENWOOD and EFJohnson have contacted local governments, police, fire departments and emergency medical centers in the U.S., Puerto Rico and Mexico to check out the situation.

Digital radio systems are expected to be delivered sequentially following arrangements made with local authorities from late September.
