Gwinnett County, Georgia, awarded Federal Engineering a contract for technical consulting services in upgrading the county’s public-safety information systems.

Gwinnett County IT Services provides a full range of technical services to county police, fire, emergency dispatch, sheriff, water, sanitation services, planning and development, and judicial, as well as city municipalities within its borders. The county decided to upgrade its systems and issued a consulting request for proposals (RFP).

The project is composed of five phases. In the first phase, the company will perform an enhanced 9-1-1 (E9-1-1) business and technology analysis including user needs assessments, review of current processes and a systems assessment.

In phase two, the groups will gather business, technical and financial requirements. Phase three will encompass the development of the systems RFP. In the next phase, Federal Engineering will assist with the RFP evaluation process including technical support, reference checking, presentation and demonstration attendance, and contract negotiations assistance. The last phase encompasses implementation support.
