TIA Releases P25 ISSI Group Regrouping Call for Interest
Tuesday, October 24, 2017 | Comments

The Telecommunications Industry Association (TIA) TR-8.19 Engineering Committee on Wireline System Interfaces issued a call for interest for document TIA-102.BACG, initially titled "ISSI Messages and Procedures for Group Regrouping.”

This standard will enhance the Project 25 (P25) Inter RF Subsystem Interface (ISSI) by adding group regrouping capability. Group Regrouping enables a console to set up an air link efficient patch among multiple groups by instructing the system to temporarily combine (regroup) the groups into a single group. Group regrouping is already defined for the Common Air Interface (CAI) in TIA-102.AABH.

The stakeholders may include, but are not limited to LMR system owners and system maintainers, P25 radio manufacturers, P25 infrastructure manufacturers, P25 radio implementers and P25 infrastructure implementers.
