Zetron Australasia was chosen to provide mobile command-and-control systems for a smart city project in India. As India urbanizes at a rapid pace, the speed of growth in cities poses huge challenges but also offers big opportunities.

The Indian government launched the “smart cities mission,” an urban renewal program with a goal of developing almost 100 cities all over the country, making them citizen friendly as well as safe and secure.

“Zetron is privileged to be part of this important new project in India,” said Zetron Australasia Vice President and General Manager Ranjan Bhagat. “Its cities are expected to grow from 340 million people in 2008 to 590 million by 2030.”

Zetron’s digital console systems integrate telephony with both digital and analog radio control to meet a range of professional applications for public safety, transportation, utilities, oil, gas, mining and private industry. The high availability architecture of these systems provide the flexibility, scalability and resilience mission-critical applications demand.
