Hytera secured the 50th anniversary of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) and related meetings with smooth and reliable communications. The summit, which was held 10 – 14 November in Manila, Philippines, gathers heads of state and government from the 10 member countries and dialogue partners.

Hytera served the ASEAN Summit with an end-to-end Digital Mobile Radio (DMR) solution including terminals and infrastructure. The radio service was available in conference venues, airports, ferry ports, central business districts and main avenues throughout the entire ASEAN Summit.

The system offered complete mission-critical radio services include recording, dispatching and network management system functions for a large number of users with high spectrum efficiency, wide coverage, flexible networking and high security. In addition, a dedicated project team was designated to secure the event.

ASEAN was established in 1967 in Bangkok, Thailand, with the signing of the ASEAN declaration by Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, Brunei Darussalam, Vietnam, Lao PDR, Myanmar and Cambodia — the 10 member states of ASEAN.
