Wednesday, January 10, 2018 | Comments

The FCC will consider a second report and order and second order on reconsideration to enhance the effectiveness of wireless emergency alerts (WEAs), including improving the geographic accuracy of the alerts, at its Jan. 30 open meeting.

Earlier this week, FCC Chairman Ajit Pai said he circulated a proposal to improve WEAs and released a statement.

Connect America Fund Phase II, establishment of the Office of Economics and Analytics, paper filing of contracts and an Enforcement Bureau action are also on the meeting agenda.
