The FCC expanded the membership of the Intergovernmental Advisory Committee (IAC) from 15 members to 30 members and seeks applications for membership to the IAC from local, state and tribal government officials to fill the 15 new positions. Three additional vacancies also exist in the current IAC membership.

Applications for membership are due March 12. Members appointed to fill the vacancies will serve through the end of the IAC’s current term, which will run through March 24, 2019.

The mission of the IAC is to provide advice to the commission on the many telecommunications issues affecting local, state and tribal governments that are within the jurisdiction of the FCC.
