TCCA Hosts 18 PPDR Operators for Public-Safety Broadband Meeting
Wednesday, February 07, 2018 | Comments

Forty delegates from 18 European national public protection and disaster relief (PPDR) network operators and several commercial mobile network operators gathered in Amsterdam for a two-day meeting in January hosted by TCCA.

TJ Kennedy, former president of the First Responder Network Authority (FirstNet), presented information on the procurement process and lessons learned from developing the FirstNet request for proposals (RFP) and the contract awarded to AT&T.

"TCCA is delighted to be leading this initiative to bring our critical communications operator members together with their commercial counterparts,” said TCCA Chief Executive Tony Gray. “We are pleased to note that several commercial operators have become TCCA members to pursue this engagement and learning between the different parties."

TCCA is an international association promoting TETRA and broadband technologies for mission-critical industries.
