Following the implementation of a Sepura TETRA network in the Mexican state of Guanajuato, the city of Leon added another 757 Sepura radios to its existing stock of more than 800 terminals through Sepura’s in-region partner Jomtel. Leon implemented the radios in December.

The municipal public security secretariat of the city of Leon purchased the radios to further enhance public-safety communications for officers in the field. One of its focus points is to streamline the portfolio of radios in use within the force, reducing training costs.

“I am very proud that the market-leading performance and robustness of our radios, alongside a first-class customer service provided by Sepura and our channel partners, has been the key to earn the trust of one of the most important municipalities of Guanajuato region, the city of Leon,” said Ivan Vargas, Sepura business development manager for Latin America.
