Haslacher to Replace Bardach as CEO of Frequentis

Frequentis CEO and owner Hannes Bardach will move to the company’s supervisory board in mid-April, and Norbert Haslacher will become the new CEO.

Haslacher is currently the executive board member for sales and marketing.

Bardach has been in management at Frequentis for 35 years, starting as managing director in 1983. He took over the company shares in 1986. At that time, Frequentis was a small Viennese company with 36 employees and turnover of 4 million euros. Since then Frequentis has grown and now has more than 1,700 employees in 50 countries.

“In the future, as an active owner and chairman of the supervisory board, I will work closely with the executive board and contribute to tasks critical to success for the corporate group,” Bardach said.

Bardach’s transition from the executive board to the supervisory board has been planned for some time. Hermann Mattanovich and Sylvia Bardach will remain as the chief technology officer (CTO) and chief financial officer (CFO), respectively. Those two, along with Haslacher will comprise the three person executive board.

Prior to joining Frequentis, Haslacher worked for 15 years at Computer Sciences Corporation (CSC). He became a member of the Frequentis executive board in 2015.

“I am looking forward to the new challenge and I fully appreciate the trust and recognition that Hannes Bardach has given me as the Frequentis owner,” Haslacher said. “My goal is to expedite the targeted sustained growth of the Frequentis Group and to further expand the product and solution portfolio to meet the requirements of our customers in the safety-critical area.”
