The Project 25 (P25) Steering Committee, in partnership with the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Office of Emergency Communications (OEC), is facilitating an event called the P25 Executive Summit: Working Together for Future Success.

The summit will take place May 17 in Portland, Oregon, for users and manufacturers of P25 equipment and systems. The goal is to discuss successes, challenges and a path forward, as well as to advance commitments to work in partnership on activities critical to P25 LMR interoperability and sustainment.

The steering committee encouraged manufacturers of P25 equipment to participate in the event. Those interested in attending the event should provide the company name, the product type the company provides (repeaters, mobile, etc.), and the name of an appropriate senior executive of the company who can participate to P25Summit@hq.dhs.gov.

After it receives the information, the steering committee will process the request and send additional details about the event. The meeting is not intended to be a sales or marketing opportunity but is a chance to help shape the future of the P25 marketplace to ensure operable and interoperable public-safety and national security and emergency preparedness communications efforts, the steering committee said.
