U.K. Airwave TETRA Network Approves New Sepura Portable
Monday, March 19, 2018 | Comments

Airwave and the National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC) approved Sepura’s SC21 portable radio for use on the U.K. Airwave network. This is the second terminal in Sepura’s SC2 series to receive network approval, joining the SC20.

The SC21 TETRA terminals support Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connections, future proofing the device to support operations during the transition to the Emergency Services Network (ESN). ESN is a U.K. nationwide public-safety broadband network that will be rolled out using EE’s commercial Long Term Evolution (LTE) network.
