Public Safety Network announced its formation as a consulting company focused on bringing technology solutions to meet the mission-critical needs of the global public-safety community.

TJ Kennedy, former president of the First Responder Network Authority (FirstNet); Jason Karp, former chief counsel of FirstNet; and Robert Wilson, a marketing and technology executive, started the consulting firm. The company offers strategic and advisory services, venture capital and public-safety technology business accelerator services, as well as expedited public-safety app development.

“We are committed to ensuring that our firefighters, law enforcement officers and EMS personnel have the right tools at the right time to do the difficult work they do each day,” Kennedy said. “We will help innovate new technologies and solutions that empower public safety each day and facilitate emergency response like never before.”

Prior to FirstNet, Kennedy led the public-safety business at Raytheon. Before he joined FirstNet, Karp worked with Accenture and MCI, as well as at the FCC. Wilson is also the founder and CEO of Secured Communications, a provider of secure, interoperable public-safety and corporate communications systems.
