The Telecommunications Industry Association (TIA) TR-8.1 Engineering Committee on Equipment Measurement Procedures issued a call for interest for five standards projects related to LMR performance.

For document TIA-603-F, initially titled "Land Mobile FM or PM – Communications Equipment – Measurement and Performance Standards," the committee is developing guidelines that will provide updates to modify signal generator voltage standing wave ratio (VSWR) specs, add a high signal strength intermodulation test and offer performance recommendations.

For document TIA-102.CAAB-E, initially titled "Land Mobile Radio Transceiver Performance Recommendations – Digital Radio Technology, C4FM/CQPSK Modulation,” the committee is developing guidelines that will provide general clarifications and add a high signal strength intermodulation test and offer performance recommendations.

For document TIA-102.CCAB-B, initially titled “Two-Slot Time Division Multiple Access Transceiver Performance Recommendations,” the committee is developing guidelines that will add a high signal strength intermodulation test and offer performance recommendations.

For document TIA-102.CCAA-C, initially titled “Two-Slot Time Division Multiple Access, Transceiver Measurement Methods,” the committee is developing guidelines that will provide updates to modify signal generator VSWR specs, add a high signal strength intermodulation test and offer performance recommendations.

For document TIA-102.CAAA-F, initially titled “Digital C4FM/CQPSK Transceiver Measurement Methods,” the committee is developing guidelines that will provide updates to make general clarifications, modify signal generator VSWR specifications, add a high signal strength intermodulation test and offer performance recommendations.

The stakeholders may include manufacturers and users of TIA-102 compliant equipment. TIA is seeking participation in these projects from the user and general interest communities. For more information, contact Victoria Mitchell at standards@tiaonline.org.
