Starks Nominated as FCC Commissioner

President Donald Trump nominated Geoffrey Starks to replace Mignon Clyburn as an FCC commissioner.

Clyburn announced in April that she was leaving the commission. If confirmed, Starks would fill one of the two Democratic spots on the commission.

Starks is currently an assistant bureau chief with the FCC’s Enforcement Bureau.

“I congratulate Geoffrey Starks on his forthcoming nomination to serve as a commissioner on the Federal Communications Commission,” FCC Chairman Ajit Pai said. “He has a distinguished record of public service, including in the FCC’s Enforcement Bureau, and I wish him all the best during the confirmation process.”
