Harold Linke was named president of Public Safety Communications Europe (PSCE), and David Lund was named vice president and treasurer.

“PSCE has paved the ground in the area of broadband communications for public-safety services with the BroadMap project,” Linke said. “The BroadWay project will provide the next step on the way to broadband services for public safety. The integration with 5G will bring new concepts and tools for first responders that will support them in their daily work. PSCE is here to bring together practitioners, researchers and industry to support this move.”

Linke is the manager research and technology projects at HITEC Luxembourg, a subject matter expert focusing on high technology solutions. His career started after studying electronics in Munich at Siemens Germany as a software developer for communications systems. Linke is active in several projects focusing on public-safety communications and traffic management.

Manfred Blaha is the past president, and Monika Büscher was appointed relation and communications officer. Büscher is also chair of the research committee.

Büscher is professor of sociology at Lancaster University, United Kingdom. She has initiated the platform, which develops guidance for digital ethics and responsible innovation in disaster risk management in collaboration with the PSCE network and an international community of practitioners, developers and researchers.
