APCO Seeks Comment on Public Safety Grade Standard
Friday, June 29, 2018 | Comments

The Association of Public-Safety Communications Officials (APCO) International is seeking comments on candidate American National Standard (ANS) 2.106.1-201x, which addresses site hardening requirements for public safety grade sites.

“Public safety grade sites need to be hardened enough to withstand the onslaught of natural and manmade conditions that may directly impact the site,” said APCO President Martha Carter. “This standard requires various characteristics to ensure that network sites are sufficiently robust.”

The public may review and comment on the candidate standard from June 29 through Aug. 13.

The document and more information are here.
