IJIS Institute Releases Cybersecurity Testing Tool

The IJIS Institute in partnership with 5th Column released Cyber Standards Check, a simple, secure and affordable application security standard testing tool to help protect applications and data.

Cyber Standards Check automates cybersecurity standards conformance, removing guesswork and human error. It is simple to access and use: Log in, point to a software code repository and run. Cyber Standards Check provides continuous, rigorous application source code testing against key cybersecurity standards and guidelines, including the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) Risk Management Framework (NIST SP 800—53), Federal Information Security Management Act and Open Web Application Security Project.

The check is offered through the Springboard Testing and Certification program and is powered by NUCLEAUS.

“The Springboard Program was already providing a certification testing program designed to advance information sharing within and across stakeholder jurisdictions and professions by working with sponsor organizations to evaluate, test and certify information sharing and interoperability solutions,” said Ashwini Jarral, executive director of the IJIS Institute. “Cyber Standards Check takes this to the next level, automating a complex process and catching vulnerabilities that even seasoned developers missed in product testing.”
