Federal Engineering Gains Consulting Contract with Worcester County

Worcester County, Maryland, awarded Federal Engineering a contract to provide technical assistance in support of the implementation of a new 800 MHz public-safety mobile radio system.

The county is upgrading its mobile radio system to replace a system that has reached its end-of-life. During system implementation, various technical issues have arisen, and the county requires technical assistance and independent, vendor-neutral guidance as the implementation moves forward, said Harold Higgins, Worcester County administrator.

“Working as the county’s trusted advisor, Federal Engineering will establish a framework for mitigating system performance problems,” said Ronald F. Bosco, Federal Engineering president and CEO. “We will collaborate with the county to prioritize the issues to be addressed, synthesize potential solutions, and facilitate corrective actions with the radio system vendor.”
