The Safer Buildings Coalition elected Patrick Lau, Comba Telecom vice president of strategic development, to its board of directors as vice president.

The Safer Buildings Coalition (SBC), a non-profit organization established in 2012, has a mission to focus on advancing policies and ideas that lead to more buildings being served with commercial and public-safety wireless coverage.

The vice president board position is a three-year term, with Lau serving as vice president the first year, president and then immediate past president. SBC’s board of directors is crucial in directing the coalition to achieve its overall goals and initiatives.

“I’m excited and humbled to be elected as vice president to the Safer Buildings Coalition board of directors,” said Lau. “I look forward to continuing SBC’s commitment to education, awareness and continuous improvement of in-building public-safety communications for first responders.”
