Gwinnett County, Georgia, awarded Federal Engineering a contract to assist with the analysis, design and implementation of an advanced real-time crime center.

Deputy Chief Brett West of the Gwinnett Police Department said the consulting firm will assess the development of a situational awareness and crime response center for the Department of Police Services. The assessment will include conducting stakeholder interviews, inventorying current assets and participating partner agencies, recommending a shared video management system solution, and producing a scope of work for video and records management systems.

The Gwinnett County Police Department is a nationally accredited and rapidly growing police agency located in the northeastern quadrant of the Atlanta metropolitan area. The department has an authorized strength of 783 sworn officers supported by 280 civilian employees with the responsibility of providing law enforcement services to about 900,000 residents within an area of 436 square miles.
