InterTalk to Supply Consoles for Maryland EMS System
Tuesday, October 02, 2018 | Comments

InterTalk Critical Information Systems was subcontracted to provide a turnkey radio/telephone dispatch console solution with integrated voting to the Maryland Institute for Emergency Medical Services Systems (MIEMSS). MIEMSS manages all aspects of the Maryland EMS (EMS) and its statewide communications system.

MIEMSS links emergency medical helicopters, ambulances, hospitals, dispatchers and paramedics with direct communications during the critical first minutes of an emergency. InterTalk’s integrated products will streamline communications in the field and at dispatch centers.

“The MIEMSS project is an exciting one for InterTalk, as it allows us the opportunity to truly flex our technology and innovation muscles, with several features and functionalities being implemented into MIEMSS’ system to make it work in concert,” said Chris Oldham, InterTalk president. “We are proud to be part of a team tasked with providing the citizens of Maryland and Washington, D.C., seamless emergency medical communications now and into the future.”

InterTalk will provide dispatch consoles, logging recorder system and remote radio site controllers designed for redundancy and geodiversity across all five regions of the MIEMSS network. InterTalk will begin deployment of this system in concert with prime contractor/integrator Black & Veatch during this quarter. Would you like to comment on this story?
