The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department (LVMPD) selected Motorola Solutions' Digital Evidence Management System in a recently signed 10-year, $18.98 million contract. The technology ensures the integrity of evidence while also simplifying workflows for police officers via a single sign-on portal for all evidence tied to an incident, a statement said.

The solution is part of Motorola Solutions' CommandCentral software suite that provides a unified experience across emergency call handling, command and control, and management of records and evidence.

LVMPD will use CommandCentral Vault to collect, store and make readily accessible digital evidence, including fixed video footage, crime scene photos and other data, to quickly respond to information requests and keep cases moving forward. The solution features deep integration and auto correlation between the records management system (RMS) and CommandCentral Vault.

The technology will also help the department aggregate and integrate streaming video, real-time alerts, advanced data analytics, resource tracking, social media analytics, voice, CAD and records information into a single, intuitive interface with layered geospatial mapping.
