Cradlepoint Announces First Responder Program
Monday, October 08, 2018 | Comments

Cradlepoint announced its FirstConnect program for first responder organizations. FirstConnect is designed to help organizations overcome many of the budgetary, logistical and operational challenges typically faced when deploying new wireless edge router solutions to take advantage of the First Responder Network Authority (FirstNet) and other nationwide public-safety broadband networks.

The program is free to Cradlepoint’s police, fire and emergency services customers. The inaugural program elements include 24/7 priority access to Cradlepoint’s U.S.-based customer service team and a grant assistance program. In addition, IT and other operational personnel responsible for the configuration, deployment, management and troubleshooting of Cradlepoint solutions will have access to end-user training. Cradlepoint also provides access to its network of experienced installers so that first responder organizations can accelerate rollouts and minimize vehicle downtime.

The company is also adding several first responder charities to its Cradlepoint care program. Each year, Cradlepoint will donate a portion of its proceeds from first responder agency sales to charities that are dedicated to first responders and their families. The selected charities will be announced prior to Jan. 1, 2019, when the FirstConnect program will be available.
