AT&T Executive Re-Elected Chair of NG911 Institute

The Next Generation 911 Institute (NG911 Institute) announced the results of its 2018 board of directors election. Joe Marx, AT&T, was re-elected in the consumer telco category and was subsequently re-elected as chair of the board. April Heinze of INdigital was elected vice chair.

Also re-elected in the consumer telco category was Angel Arocho, Comcast, along with newly elected board member Eric Hagerson, T-Mobile. Re-elected in the member-at-large category was Mary Boyd, West Safety Services, along with Chris Freeman, Barren-Metcalfe Emergency Communications Center.

“The institute is pleased to welcome Chris Freeman and Eric Hagerson to the board who will add new perspectives and strengthen the leadership of a board that already includes nationally recognized public-safety and industry experts who are dedicated to ensuring a successful transition to nationwide NG 9-1-1 deployment,” said NG911 Institute Executive Director Patrick Halley.
