Federal Engineering to Consult Virginia County on Radio, Paging Systems
Monday, November 26, 2018 | Comments

Northumberland County, Virginia, chose Federal Engineering to evaluate and assess the county’s public-safety radio and paging communications systems.

The Northumberland system is made up of five simulcast transmitter sites with three VHF analog channels. The sites are interconnected by a licensed digital point-to-point microwave system. The dispatch radio console equipment is located at the Northumberland County Sheriff’s Office.

Federal Engineering plans to investigate and document the installed public-safety radio system and evaluate the existing infrastructure. The firm will provide written and verbal reports, as well as recommendations for improvements to the Northumberland County board of supervisors.
