Airbus Submits Hybrid Device for Certification on German TETRA Network
Monday, November 26, 2018 | Comments

Airbus announced it will enroll the Tactilon Dabat, its hybrid TETRA radio and smartphone, for certification on the German Federal Agency for Public Safety Digital Radio (BDBOS) network.

The interoperability function and safety requirements of BDBOS are mandatory for selling and distributing TETRA radios and hybrid devices to users of public-safety organizations in Germany. According to German law, all devices have to comply with certain interoperability profiles. BDBOS does not conduct the technical tests itself, but relies on certified testing bodies.
