Tasmania Launches Tender to Consolidate Radio Networks
Friday, November 30, 2018 | Comments

The Tasmanian Government Radio Network (TasGRN) announced a request for tender to transition eight core user organizations, currently using five disparate radio communications networks, onto one unified, digital and interoperable radio network.

The end result will be a more reliable and resilient network enabling the provision of better services to the Tasmanian community. The TasGRN will deliver an integrated radio network for users in the emergency services, land management and electricity industries.

Initial users of the TasGRN will include Tasmania Police, Tasmania Fire Service, Ambulance Tasmania, State Emergency Service, Parks and Wildlife Service, Sustainable Timber Tasmania, TasNetworks and Hydro Tasmania.

The request was released 24 November. Further information can be obtained here.
