First Responder Network Authority (FirstNet) subscribers can purchase the latest Samsung Galax S 10e, S10 and S10+ phones March 8. The new devices join more than 70 devices in the FirstNet ecosystem.

Tested and certified for the FirstNet platform, the Samsung Galaxy S10 devices accept the FirstNet subscriber identity module (SIM), giving public safety access to the dedicated, physically separate FirstNet network core. First responders can also access band 14 spectrum.

A multiperspective camera with ultra-wide lens, dual pixel and dual aperture, HDR 10+ recording and scene optimizer will help public safety capture high-quality images to increase situational awareness and aid reporting.

The S10 can be equipped with Visual Labs software to implement a body-worn camera program that meets industry standards for bodycams. With Visual Labs, the S10’s 123-degree wide-angle lens can also be used as a personnel locator, digital camera and audio recorder. All evidence can be automatically uploaded from the field to secure cloud storage, and the smartphone can still be used for telephone calls, text messaging, emails and other Android applications.

With an IP68 rating for water and dust resistance, the Samsung Galaxy S10 devices also include ultrasonic in-display fingerprint identification. The fingerprint scanner unlocks the phone seamlessly. All-Day battery intelligently accesses power by learning how and when you use your phone, allowing the phone to last the length of public safety’s mission.
