Infrastructure Networks (INET) and Osprey Informantics announced a strategic partnership to bring powerful remote visual monitoring capabilities to the U.S. energy sector.

INET will sell, supply and service Osprey’s intelligent visual monitoring solutions, delivered over INET’s wireless platform. Osprey will leverage INET’s Long Term Evolution (LTE) coverage of key energy producing areas for its growing U.S. client base.

More than 30 North American energy companies use Osprey reach to reduce operating costs while mitigating safety and environmental risks. The company’s intelligent visual monitoring platform, Osprey, cost effectively manages remote cameras at a massive scale, analyzes images and video with artificial intelligence (AI) and input from other sensors and data systems, and delivers actionable insights to users across the enterprise.

“With our focus on enabling the industrial internet of things (IIoT), we see Osprey’s technology as a great fit for our platform,” said Scott Crist, INET chairman and CEO. “Osprey’s proven solutions will help our customers reduce the need for travel to remote sites, enable management by exception, and enhance safety and environmental compliance.”

With its CloudCore platform, INET provides an end-to-end, standards-based, dedicated wireless solution capable of supporting the full spectrum of IIoT solutions. The company provides wireless LTE connectivity and plug-and-play solutions to oil and gas and industrial companies.

“INET’s unique data transmission network and platform along with its comprehensive servicing capabilities are perfect complements for Osprey’s formal entry into the U.S.,” said Rob Logan, Osprey chairman and CEO. “INET’s spectrum coverage of nearly 90 percent of energy assets in the U.S. gives us confidence that we can quickly expand in the key basins across North America.”
