Swedish Police Refresh TETRA Terminals with Sepura Devices

The Swedish Police chose Sepura TETRA terminals, supplied through regional partner Swedish Radio Supply, to refresh the national police fleet radios. The new agreement confirms that deployment will begin in May, with the radios supported for two years with possible future extensions.

Swedish Radio Supply has supplied the Swedish Police with Rakel products since the beginning of 2006. In addition to the new agreement, Swedish Radio Supply has an existing agreement with the Swedish Police regarding service, support and accessories for the current terminal fleet.

The Swedish Police chose Sepura's SC21 TETRA portable terminal to upgrade its radios to a smaller, lighter rugged device.

"The Swedish Police is the largest radio user in the Nordic region, so this is of course a very important customer and an important contract for us,” said Jonas Hoke, senior business manager and customer manager for the police at Swedish Radio Supply. “We were keen to ensure that the police received a radio that closely matched their operational requirements.”
